• ● Participants must be at least 18 years old.
• ● Must be design professionals or students in design related sectors.
• ● Chinese citizens, overseas Chinese, Ethnic Chinese, or foreigners/foreign companies in cooperation with Chinese partners.

1. ● Participants for Professional Group is required to provide the concept drawing and the realized product if their application is qualified for the second-round selection.
2. ● Participants for the category « Interior space design » is required to submit the projects completed after September 1, 2018.
3. ● Participants need to fill out the registration form and to choose the categories concerning.
4. ● Participants who do not meet the entry requirements, or do not fulfill the Terms and Conditions of the Award or submit false information may be disqualified.
5. ● Each candidate can provide a maximum of 3 entries (product design / interior space design), and each entry must provide complete information.
6. ● During the evaluation period, if the winners cannot be contacted within 48 hours, or the candidates cannot respond the Award notification within 7 days, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the prize/bonus of the winners, and the jury keeps the sole discretion to hand over the award to other candidates.
7. ● Participants are required to submit entries in a readable format. It is the sole responsibility of the Participant to ensure that their entry is free from any viruses. MAISON&OJET Design Award China will not be liable for entries into the competition that are lost, misdirected, delayed, or corrupted, for technical reasons or otherwise.

• 1. The actual finished product should be submitted for commercialized works;
• 2. For no commercialized work, 1:1 or equivalent scale reduction mock-ups should be submitted;
• 3. For conceptual works, 3D design renderings or hand-drawn schemes of each aspect should be submitted (for student group);
• ■  Requirement for electronic files：
• 1. The text summary of the work (mark the model material, length, width and height dimensions,within 500 words respectively in Chinese and English);
• 2. Product physical photos or product physical models / 3D design renderings or hand-drawn plans (student group), resolution 300dpi, jpg/png/tiff/bmp format, need to show the overall design concept, important design details, including the main view, side view, top view;
• 3. More detailed design documentation of the work, with explanations of style, creativity, and functional use (the number of pages and words is not limited);
• 4. Group/individual introduction (within 200 words respectively in Chinese and English, the main designer must be indicated in the team entry);
• 5. Participant's photo (1 photo, group photo/individual photo), the name of the photo file is the designer's name, and for the team photo please fill in the names of the team members in the order from left to right;
• 6. Video can be used to present the description of the use scene of the work (optional);

• ■ Design works：
• 1. The work must be actually completed after September 1, 2018;
• 2. The work must be approved by the owner and does not involve infringement of privacy and related rights and interests.
• ■ Requirements for electronic files：
• 1. Text summary of the work (within 500 words in both Chinese and English);
• 2. Real photos of interior design projects (resolution 300dpi, jpg/tiff/bmp format). The pictures must reflect the overall style of the design, showing the overall overview of the project and key areas, highlights, details, design creativity, etc. The picture name must be named after the space name, such as living room, bedroom, bathroom, etc. If there are multiple pictures with different angles in the same space, please fill in the picture name according to "space + number", such as living room 1, living room 2;
• 3. More detailed design documentation for interior design projects, instructions for use and usage scenarios, unlimited pages and words;
• 4. Group/individual introduction (within 200 words respectively in Chinese and English, the main designer must be indicated in the team entry);
• 5. Participant's photo (1 photo, group photo/individual photo), the name of the photo file is the designer's name, and for the team photo please fill in the name of the team members in the order from left to right;

➤ Preliminary round：

• ● The domestic jury will conduct online selection according to the application materials submitted by the candidates in strict accordance with the award evaluation criteria
• ● The best 15 works from each category will be selected for the semi-final
• ● Shortlisted entries will be presented digitally at MAISON&OBJET Paris in January 2022

• ● The international jury will conduct online selection according to the application materials submitted by the candidates in strict accordance with the award evaluation criteria
• ● The best 6 works from each category will be selected to enter the final
• ● All finalists will receive "MAISON&OBJET Design Award China Design & o good Design finalist certificate", and get to Paris to participate in the final selection of the international jury, and invited to attend the annual M&O China Design Award ceremony in Paris, face-to-face communication with international masters

• ● All finalists will be transported to the exhibition hall in Paris, where they will be displayed in different categories and selected for the final before MAISON&OBJET
• ● According to the candidates' physical works and design instructions, the international jury will conduct on-site selection in strict accordance with the award evaluation criteria, and select the best winning works in each category from the shortlisted works
• ● The list of winning works and designers will be announced at the annual AWARD ceremony of M&O China Design Awards, and the gold, silver and Bronze trophies and certificates will be awarded to the winning designers by international masters
•  ○ Professional category Best Award+: 6 gold awards + 12 silver awards + 18 bronze awards
•  ○ Student category Best Award: 4 gold awards + 8 silver awards + 12 bronze awards
•  ○ Among the gold Award entries, the international jury will select the Best one to be awarded the "Best of MAISON&OBJET Design Award China"

● All M&O winners and their works are presented on the official website of MAISON&OBJET and global mainstream media.

● All winners and their works (graphic information) are included in the M&O Design Award Yearbook.

● The finalists’ works are showcased at Maison&Objet Paris or at Paris Design Week in September 2022.

● Introduction of the related manufacturers and buyers to the laureates during the exhibitions, the Award committee provides the cooperation opportunity to the winners with global buyers, manufacturers, and projects.

● All winning designers (from the first-round selection) may be invited as honored speakers for M&O Award yearly activities as press conference, forums, lifestyle expos on tour, masters’ training, and workshops.

● The winning product designers/craftsmen have the opportunity to carry out official cooperation with France's most influential high-end home furnishing brand Roachburg and participate in the relevant design of the brand's global products.

● The winning interior space designers can carry out official cooperation with Accor Group, the world's fourth largest hotel group, and participate in the design of Accor Group hotels.
